ASHRAE India Chapter (AIC) is the first and oldest (1990) of the ASHRAE Chapters in the country. It has more than 300 ASHRAE members located in North and Eastern India. The Indian chapters belong to Region-At-Large (RAL), the largest of the 14 regions of ASHRAE. RAL was formed in 2001 and contains individual members and chapters in Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Indian Sub-Continent.
Department of Applied Sciences, CEC-Technical Campus-Jhanjeri has organized a presentation on ‘ISHRAE and students’ activities’ for B. Tech Mechanical and Electronic students.the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) set up its student chapter at CEC Technical Campus, Jhanjeri, Mohali to train future HVAC engineers in India.
1st prize won in Electric National Super Karting Championship with Project E-Go Kart held at Telangana and first prize won at Start Up and B Plan competition.
First Position in Live Project, Tech Fest “UDAAN-2K19” at Global Institutes, Amritsar and 2nd prize at BRIDGEWEB (Lovely Professional University) in 2016.
37 merit holders in PTU exam in the year 2018 and won bronze, silver and gold medals in kabaddi, chess, volleyball PTU Inter College Competition.
1st position won in the Start Up and Entrepreneurship B Plan competition at DAVIET Jalandhar and participated in the National Level IT Day Rajasthan hackathon.

Chandigarh College of Engineering Jhanjeri, Mohali encompasses B. Different branches of Engineering at Jhanjeri have well equipped laboratories with modern facilities where postgraduate and undergraduate students perform experiments to gain practical knowledge along with conceptual knowledge. CEC is not only producing graduates but is inculcating professional attitudes in them. Students are encouraged to join various technical and non-technical forums during their course work, which in turn gives them great exposure to Engineering concepts and technology. To strengthen industry institute interaction, MOUs have been signed with different industries and programs are conducted for students which are designed by the industry. Seminars are organized regularly in collaboration with experts from industry so that students are trained to be absorbed by the Industries.
