The Anti-Ragging Cell at Chandigarh College of Engineering (CCE) Jhanjeri is dedicated to ensuring all students safe and welcoming environment. Recognizing the detrimental effects of ragging, the cell strictly adheres to the guidelines laid out by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.

The cell conducts regular awareness programs to educate students about the severe consequences of ragging, both for victims and perpetrators. The cell also offers a platform for students to report any incidents of ragging confidentially. Swift and strict action is taken against those found guilty, ensuring that justice is served and the college remains a safe space.:

The Anti-Ragging Cell at CCE Jhanjeri is composed of faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives, fostering a collaborative approach to tackling this issue. Regular meetings are held to review policies and strategies, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.

Ragging includes individual or collective actions or practices that involve:

  • Physical assault or any threats involving the use of force are strictly prohibited and unacceptable
  • Any actions that violate the dignity of other students are completely unacceptable and forbidden
  • Behaviors that expose students to ridicule or harm their self-esteem are strictly not allowed
  • Verbal abuse, aggression, or any form of indecent behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances
