On World Heart Day, CCE (Chandigarh College Of Engineering) Jhanjeri orchestrated a remarkable event in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), National Cadet Corps (NCC), and the Red Ribbon Club, alongside the prestigious PGI Hospital in Chandigarh. The event was a resounding success as a total of 200 individuals selflessly volunteered to donate their blood. This collective effort made a significant impact on the local community by helping those in need and spreading awareness about the importance of cardiovascular health.
The collaboration between CCE Jhanjeri and PGI Hospital highlighted the commitment to the well-being of the community, reinforcing the principle that healthy hearts lead to a healthier society. The event not only celebrated World Heart Day but also served as a shining example of how educational institutions and healthcare providers can join hands to make a positive difference in the lives of many. This noble initiative underscored the spirit of giving and the importance of collective action for the betterment of our society, and it undoubtedly left a lasting mark on all those who participated.
Chandigarh College Of Engineering, Jhanjeri, commemorated World Mental Health Day with a unique seminar on Forensic Science. The event, organized by the Department of Student Affairs in collaboration with the NSS club, attracted over 100 students specializing in forensic science. Despite its unconventional theme, the seminar on Forensic Science served as a powerful platform to raise awareness about mental health.
Chandigarh College Of Engineering, Jhanjeri took a proactive stance in raising awareness about the importance of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. In collaboration with IVY Hospital, Mohali, the institution organized an enlightening awareness talk that aimed to educate and empower its student community. The event, spearheaded by the Department of Student Welfare in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Red Ribbon Club, witnessed the presence of esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Sonal. Her expertise and insights provided valuable information on the current state of HIV/AIDS, preventive measures, and the significance of regular screenings.
The event served as a platform for open discussions, dispelling myths and misconceptions surrounding HIV/AIDS. Dr. Sonal’s engaging talk not only addressed the medical aspects but also emphasized the importance of destigmatizing the condition and promoting inclusivity.
CCE Jhanjeri orchestrated a compelling No Tobacco Day Awareness Rally, commencing from the CCE Gate and extending to Jhanjeri. The day culminated in a pledge-taking ceremony, fostering a collective commitment to embracing a tobacco-free lifestyle.
CCE Jhanjeri paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary by organizing a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in collaboration with NSS and NCC volunteers. The day began with a pledge-taking ceremony, where students and volunteers reiterated their commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
CCE Jhanjeri observed the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a profound event organized by NSS and NCC volunteers. The campus served as a platform for fostering awareness about the perils of drug abuse.
A significant plantation activity was conducted by the CCE Jhanjeri, celebrated National Service Scheme (NSS) foundation day in collaboration with the local administration in Machli Village. The event aimed to foster environmental consciousness while promoting academic development among students.
CCE Jhanjeri’s Department of Student Welfare, in collaboration with the NSS and NCC clubs, orchestrated a refreshing Yoga Camp as part of the "FIT India" campaign. The event brought together around 50 eager students who embraced the serene morning with open arms.
