The B.Tech. Blockchain program is a dynamic four-year undergraduate course designed to prepare students for a leading role in the evolving sector of blockchain technology. Throughout the program, students delve into the intricate components of blockchain technology, exploring its fundamental architecture, the principles of cryptography, and the mechanisms of smart contracts. They also gain hands-on experience in developing decentralized applications (DApps).

Scope

The B.Tech. Blockchain program equips students to design, implement, and manage blockchain applications, transforming industries like finance, supply chain, and governance. This course offers a comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology, preparing graduates to innovate and drive changes across various sectors. Through hands-on training and theoretical knowledge, students gain the expertise to harness blockchain to improve transparency, efficiency, and security in organizational processes.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have successfully completed their 10+2 examination from a recognized Board sanctioned by the Central/State Government, as well as a member of the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi, with subjects including Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subjects, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship, are required to have attained a minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories).

Or,

Candidates who have cleared a minimum of a 3-year Diploma examination from the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or a similar examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education, with at least 45% marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories), are eligible, subject to the availability of vacancies in the first year in case lateral entry vacancies are filled.

Or,

Candidates who have completed a two-year certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), are also considered eligible.

(The university will provide appropriate bridge courses, such as Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering Drawing, to ensure a level playing field and to achieve the desired learning outcomes of the programme for students from diverse educational backgrounds.)
