Tech Thrive: CGC Jhanjeri's Hack-N-Win Hackathon Bonanza

The Department of Computer Science Engineering at Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC Jhanjeri, proudly hosted the exhilarating 24-hour hackathon, "Hack-N-Win." With an impressive turnout of over 600 participants hailing from various prestigious colleges, the event kicked off with an auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony, setting the tone for a day filled with creativity and collaboration.

Day 1 commenced with the invaluable guidance of eight experienced industry mentors, who generously volunteered their time to mentor participants from renowned institutions such as CGC-Landran, CGC-Jhanjeri, Chandigarh University, SVIET, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, and more. The significance of hackathons in nurturing innovation was underscored by the respected Director of Engineering, HOD Applied Science, and HOD CSE.

Amidst a backdrop of vibrant energy and enthusiasm, esteemed dignitaries including the President S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Managing Director Mr. Arsh Dhaliwal, Campus Director Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Director-Academic, and Vice Principal of CCE graced the event with their motivational words, inspiring participants to push their boundaries and strive for excellence. Energized by their words, participants delved into intense coding sessions, fueled by the promise of innovative solutions and the thrill of competition.

The day culminated in a captivating jamming session, reinvigorating participants for the challenges ahead. Despite the late hour, participants exhibited unwavering enthusiasm, working tirelessly through the night to refine their projects.

In the wee hours, industry mentors conducted rigorous evaluations, selecting the top 12 teams to present their solutions to the judges. Among the victors were Team Wave Sync from SVIET, securing the coveted first position, followed by Code Catalyst and Team Achievers from CEC-J, clinching second and third place respectively.

The success of Hack-N-Win was a testament to the dedication and hard work of all participants, coordinators, and organizers. Their commitment and enthusiasm transformed this event into a truly remarkable and memorable experience, marking the beginning of an exciting journey of innovation and collaboration.
